“It takes a good wine, to make good vinegar!” Cherry Knoll Gourmet Blueberry Wine Vinegar is perfect proof of this wise adage. It is quite a lengthy process, but the sweet, tangy result is well worth the extra effort.
The Cherry Knoll blueberry harvest usually begins around July 20th, and there should be plenty of our healthy, high-antioxidant berries at the Cider Mill Farmstand this summer. Fields will be open in Marathon for U-Pickers, as well. Watch What’s Fresh? on this website for availability.

Cooped Up Acres
Port Crane, New York
Amy & Jason Fletcher
We are Jason and Amy Fletcher and children. This will be our first year selling our produce at a farmers’ market. The last two summers we have had a roadside farm stand at our home on Route 7 in Port Crane.
Besides our four boys, we are raising, two cats, one rottie, and almost 50 chickens on our 2+ acres.
This year we will be selling, tomatoes, squash, beans, peas, carrots, potatoes, watermelon, pumpkins, and melon. Plus, we will have handmade goats' milk soap, and brown chicken eggs.
Our chickens are free range, meaning they have the freedom to roam our property and they are privileged to roam our neighbors' pasture also. This makes for very happy birds.
We look forward to this new venture. We also look forward to meeting new people and learning a lot of new things this summer.

Engelbert Farms
Nichols, New York
Lisa & Kevin Engelbert
Engelbert Farms is a certified organic dairy farm, certified by Vermont Organic Farmers (NOFA-VT). We are a true family farm, farming in the same location in Nichols since 1911. Kevin, Lisa and our three sons, Kris, Joe and John all actively work on the farm.
We have been farming organically since 1981. No chemicals are ever used on our fields, and no antibiotics, hormones, or synthetic wormers are ever used on our animals. Our dairy cows live out their lives happily munching high quality, certified organic grass, hay and small amounts of corn grown on our farm. During the grazing season, the cows are on a fresh plot of grass daily. Beef animals are raised on pasture and fed very little grain. Veal calves are raised in the pasture with their mothers. Pigs are raised outside and fed certified organic grain and milk. No animal by-products are ever fed to our animals.
In 2009 we are raising certified organic potatoes, onions, sweet corn and other vegetables, which will be available later in the summer and fall. Our beef, pork and veal are available by individual cuts – no order is too small! Meat is also available by 1/2 or whole animal, but must be preordered.
